LOVE

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 1:27

He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves.

Ephesians 1:5-6

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

Isaiah 1:17

A Day Out

Okay so pretty much everyday we have some where to go but today we got to do a little sight seeing. we started the day back at the notary department. While we were there the man that was doing our paperwork told our guide that Isac was so much better behaved than the paperwork said he was and that he was such a smart little boy. Makes a mama's heart proud :).
After wards our guide took us to the city park. It is a pretty big park and it was a beautiful day out! They had amusements park rides on one side when you first walked in. None of them were going, Tony said parks aren't as busy in the cooler months. As we walked we saw people here and there exercising, some in groups and some on their own. There was also people dancing. Our guide said they were all retired and needed something to do, haha. We came upon a playground with a ton of playground equipment, we were going to pay to let Isac go play but the lady said he was too little, so we kept on walking. Not far we came up to a playground that was built just for toddlers. It is sort of like the playground you'd see at chickfila. On the other side had these huge trampolines. I'm not sure who had more fun, Josh or Isac. When we were leaving the playground Josh tried paying our guide back because we saw him give the lady more (were guessing she didn't know I was planning on going) but he said no no you all friends. how sweet! :)
Later we came up to some older traditional buildings. Tony said they used to be used by men who were studying to be in the government.
Later that night we went out to a "western like" chicken fast food place. It was a nice change of pace and had an in-door playground for Isac to play in. I have to say, seeing a baby playing on the playground with spilt pants makes you do a double take, very interesting. A mom standing by was watching her little girl and encouraging her to go play with Isac. The two had fun and the mom would try and talk to me. She knew very little English but I thought it was sweet that she tried. Isac LOVED the slide! He also loved the attention from all the woman standing by the playground clapping for him. My little rock star, once and Orphan, now flashing his flirty little smile!
We went back to our hotel to prepare ourselves for our plane ride to Xi'an. Next stop Nina bound!
